And a very Happy New Year to you!...

We had a wonderful Christmas.  It was just the right blend of busy and relaxing.

Anna had an ice skating outing and sleepover with her Girl Scout troop. (The mommies even got to watch a grown-up movie with fondue.)

We had our traditional chili & PJ party @ PaPa Steve & Grandma Pam's house.

We had our first annual "DuVall Christmas Concert" - Grant played his saxophone & guitar.  Anna played keyboard and sang, and I broke out my clarinet after 15 years.  Yes, I can still play!

We celebrated Christmas Eve w/ PaPa Morris, my mom, and step-dad.  My grandpa is 92 this Christmas.

The kids loved the magic of Christmas morning & the gifts from family and Santa.

It was a beautiful 2011.

 Cousin love...

What will 2012 bring?

My wish list:

An internship for Thomas

Black belt this summer for me

Peace with myself - eating healthy, staying active, and being healthy

Health & happiness for my kiddos...

I've seen lots of "words" for the year on blogs this week.  Yes, I still have "resolutions", but I like the word idea.

I guess mine would be "Faith".  I know that God is going to take care of me and my family.  I pray that I will keep my faith strong through what I think might be a challenging year, but also has the potential to be one of our best.

Happy 2012!!!

  1. I adore this post -all the pics and precious memories. Your family is so beautiful...every generation. I don't know another couple who is so dedicated to their family. Love you.

Love your word for 2012! Did you both pick one?

    Love you!

  2. I picked one, but not Tommy. He isn't into resolutions much, and I'm not sure he'd pick a word either - too much commitment, lol. :)
